Hachita turquoise is a collectible, rare turquoise from the Little Hatchet Mountains in Grant County, New Mexico, mined near Old Hachita (Azure, Cameo, Galilee, and Aztec mines). Historically mined from pre-history to the early 1900s, it ranges from bright blue to green with golden-tan or brown matrix, often appearing in "boulder" or ribbon cuts.
